freelance artists to deliver projects. The company seeks to create accessible art for new audiences and deliver projects that have a positive effect on our artists, our audiences and the wider community.
The company is not a Regularly Funded Organisation and at the moment it doesn't seek to be so. We are only interested in creating events and projects that excite us artistically and fulfil a social need.
We have no desire to constantly chase funding to stay afloat, we concentrate our efforts on chasing funding to deliver events.
I have spent the last 21 years working as a street performer, writer, puppeteer and technician since I got bored testing parts for core reactors on nuclear submarines in my home town of Barrow-in-Furness.
Since then I have worked for a number of leading companies including The Theatre Royal Haymarket, Sydney Opera house, Spitting Image, Blaize, Welfare State International, Walk The Plank, Cirque de Soleil, Whitewood and Flemming as well as a freelance artist on countless festivals and site specific projects.
I was the festival director of Street Arts 2000 the millennium celebrations for Barrow-in-Furness, and I’m also a founder member and company director of Promenade Promotions (www.prom-prom.com) having 21 seasons performing with The Pierrotters (Britain’s last remaining seaside Pierrot Troupe)
I have spent a large part of the last 10 years waggling dollies in a hot and sweaty booth with the popular double act Poppets Puppets, but my biggest claim to fame is busking my way across America and back in just three months with one accordion and two tunes.
