with people we want to collaborate with.  Cumbria has a huge bank of talented artists and technicians and it is always really exciting when we get to work with each other.

Gary and I share a philosophy in making theatre, and after working on many diverse projects together we thought it was time to form a company.

We always intended to be as streamlined as possible, to give value for money and to be active as a company only when we have projects to deliver.

I always wanted to stay in my home town and work in theatre, thanks to The Ashton Group I managed to do that, as an associate in youth theatre I experienced fantastic devising processes with community groups and created mayhem and madness with Barrow Youth Theatre, the best devising group you could wish to work with.

During my time with the company I also worked on the Barramundi and True north Cycle of plays as assistant director and managed to co-write The Bull the Pull and the Strip with Sarah Miller and my first one act play Bingo!

Since then i’ve had far too much fun tramping the streets of these fair shores (and sometimes further abroad) with the bread and butter theatre company.
